Let's be honest, even with all the time you save with living near the city, you forget to eat the most important meal of the day: Breakfast. Breakfast is the often neglected, most important meal of the day that can be nutritional, quick, and delicious, if you want it to be. Spending a little time for you to make a quick breakfast before heading out to the city will not only be satisfying, it can also boost your energy for the rest of the day. Here are a few quick and nutritional breakfast ideas you can certainly make as you prepare yourself to head out for the day:

Yoghurt and Fruit Parfait

          Nothing beats the warm tropical weather of the Philippines like a great cup of ice cream. Why not have a parfait for breakfast? Grab a cup of Greek yoghurt and some fruits like this season's ripe mangoes, add some watermelons, a few grapes and you've got yourself an amazing breakfast parfait that not only beats the heat, it's packed with vitamins and minerals you need for the day.

Fruits and Cheese

          It's no argument that cheese and fruits go well together. Make a great breakfast out of some fruits in your fridge and a few slices of hard cheese. Hard cheeses have lower moisture content so you can bring it along in a tupperware or ziplock bag if you're in a rush. Try a few slices of pecorino romano with an apple, a pear, or a few grapes and you're good to go.

Avocado Toast With Egg

          Have you ever tried an avocado sandwich? This divine fruit is both hearty and healthy. Start your day packed with B vitamins, potassium, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E. Studies show that avocados can actually reduce blood cholesterol level. Mash your avocado with a dash of pepper and salt, or squeeze in a little lemon for an added tang. Cook eggs as you prefer: sunny-side up, poached, or scrambled. Prepare your toast the regular way, with some butter on top for added flavour. Spread some avocado on your toast, stack eggs on top, and enjoy.

Cheesy Spinach Baked Eggs

          Green leafy veggies are rich in iron. Spinach are a great source of iron and calcium and having a wonderful cheesy breakfast packed with nutrients and minerals can make your day even better. Prep a muffin baking tin with a coat of butter or vegetable oil, layer in your spinach and cheese, and crack an egg over it. Bake to perfection in under 3 minutes and you're ready to enjoy your awesome breakfast.

Overnight Oats

          Oats are great to start your day, leaving you feeling full and satisfied. Overnight oats are extra special since there's absolutely no cooking involved. Steep a cup of oats in an equal cup of milk overnight, and mix in your choice of added ingredients like chia seeds, nuts, and fruit when you're ready to go. A good and healthy start to a great day.
