The Superlux HD668B has a so-called semi-open speaker system; slotted mesh slots are on the outside of the cups. This looks like an optimal solution: you can avoid closed noise reduction and, as a result, significant distortion of the audio material, as well as to hide the shortcomings of open headphones, in which you can listen to music only at home alone or in a circle of maximally tolerant people. In practice, everything is slightly different: Superlux HD668B still cannot be used in the office and public transport, but for other purposes the sound of Superlux HD668B is excellent.

As for the mid and high frequencies, then this device is way better than the other ones in this price range. Mid frequencies don’t sound perfect, but the dynamics are not. The situation is similar to high frequencies; the sound at high level is a little plastic, but still better than all the other headphones at this price.
