Should We Celebrate Birthdays?
>> Jan 26, 2015
Today is my
birthday. My husband and I don’t have any plan. We just prayed together this
early morning and it’s already a special celebration for me. Do you always
celebrate your birthday? How do you celebrate it?
I found a good
article written by Simon Jacobson. I
agree with his thought. If we’re grateful for what we have in life now, we
should also be thankful for the tree that bears the fruits of our life -our birth-
that actually is our beginning.
The celebration
should be much more than an event to receive gifts from close people. Birthday
celebration is a time to commemorate the birth itself, a chance to rethink
your life. A birthday could be an annual refresher.
He said that there
is no better way to celebrate a birthday than to accomplish a special act of
goodness. Not because one’s advices; but because your own inner soul wants to convey
its thanks for being born and alive until today.
For Blue Monday, I want to share a
stone of my husband’s collection. We got the rough stone from a brother who
works in a famous mining company. I still don’t know the exact name of the
stone. Some friends identify it in different names. Perhaps we should take it to
the stone lab. The dark stone has wonderful blue touches.

Random Blues during Last Holidays
>> Aug 11, 2014
Hi, guys, happy new week to all. Actually, it’s my first personal post after coming back home again from Feast holidays in my husband’s hometown. We went nowhere there –just around the city- since traffic jams found anywhere. I didn’t take many photos during last holidays but fortunately I still have some latest blues to share in Blue Monday.

Happy Eid Ul-Fitr
>> Jul 28, 2014
To
every friend who celebrates:
May Allah flood
May Allah flood
your life with happiness on this occasion,
your heart with love,
your soul with spiritual,
your mind with wisdom,
wishing you a blessed and very Happy Eid ul-Fitr.
This
year we celebrate the Feast Day here, in our home. My brother and family who live in the
same home have left to his wife’s hometown since last Friday. Happily, my third
brother and family came to our home and spent the Feast Day with us. They will
go back home tomorrow.
Anyway,
my husband and I will visit my father in-law in my husband’s hometown next
Wednesday (July 30th). We’ll go by train and we’ll spend several
days there. I’ll seldom open this blog
and visit you for a while. See you soon.

Monday Post
>> Jun 2, 2014
I have another lazy
Monday. My husband is still out of town. He’s supposed to come home since last
Friday but an urgent problem came and he had to postpone his schedule. It
caused some plans must be cancelled.
A niece who studies
in another town came last Friday –almost midnite- for a short weekend getaway as she’d
like to celebrate her birthday with us here. My SIL bought a birthday chocolate
cake last Saturday morning and we held a small celebration. My niece took the
first flight this morning.

Since two months ago, I'm a blog content writer for another website owner. I have to write articles in Indonesian language regularly. I know, I know, I have to fight my lazy mind and bad mood. Wish me luck.
Busy Weekend
>> May 12, 2014
My weekend was a
busy one. My husband and his high school friends will hold a reunion two weeks
ahead. They want to have a reunion in Bogor, the city we live, so since there’s
only my husband who lives in Bogor, I must help him to arrange the event. On Saturday,
my husband and I searched for a place to rent. We have many hotels here but guest
houses to rent are only a few options. After visiting several places, we
decided to book a guest house that usually used for military officers. It
located on a main street in the city so it’s easy to be reached for his friends
who come from other towns.

On Monday, we
attended a family gathering at a cousin’s house. After the gathering, we
continued to visit my three in-laws in their different homes. We went back home
from the third destination almost midnight. Happily they live close each other,
even homes of two in-laws are located on the same street.
