Happy Monday to all. How’s your weekend, anyway? Last Saturday, we went to a BIL’s home to celebrate a nephew’s 5th birthday. The birthday boy looked disappointed at first as no one told him about the birthday cake and gifts.

The plan to surprise him was running well. After dinner with the whole family, the birthday cake taken out from the cupboard. He’s given lots of gifts that night. The boy looked so happy. My husband created a framed mosaic of his pics, started since he’s still a baby. It became our birthday gift to him.

A Nephew’s Birthday

Valentine’s day is also a birthday of my nephew, Bragas. Last Saturday he reached 17 years old. Besides praying together and eating birthday cake, we didn’t hold another special celebration but his best friends thought different plan.

In the afternoon, some friends of Bragas came to our home for a birthday surprising. It was a successful one. He really surprised and looked happy!

Our sweet female cat, Gray, was taken from us. A worker that renovating a neighbor’s house told us that he saw several teenagers grabbed Gray that sleeping near our home fence and put her into a box. The worker was afraid to stop them as he’s alone. That day, there's only one person in our home and she's inside her room. They surely took Gray to get money by selling her. I was so sad and angry. Our neighborhood isn't safe!

I miss her a lot. I just hope they treat her good and she’s taken care well in a new nice home. But I can’t stop feeling worried about her condition now. My husband is still trying to find out who are those bad teenagers.

Sad Weekend

Our weekend was very sad. Last Friday morning, our dearest and kindest uncle –the youngest brother of my late dad- passed away. He has heart problem for years and it worsened in the past two months. The surgery will be held next week but God has different plan.

My husband and I spent the whole weekend to attend the funeral ceremony and accompany my aunt and cousins who feel big loss the most.

I have missed Blue Monday for weeks, so I don’t want to miss it again this week. The scorching hot day made we wanted to go to a colder place. Three weeks ago, my husband and I went to Puncak area (Cianjur, West Java). Since it wasn’t weekend, we didn’t face traffic jam. We visited an eating place and had afternoon tea time there. We enjoyed colder and fresher air for a few hours.

First Grandchild

It’s just a short update for this blog. The hot weather gives me headache almost every day. Sorry for not visiting your blogs lately.

Meet my first grandson, Hamam. A nephew’s wife delivered a baby boy last month, so it can be said that he’s our grandson. Yesterday my husband and I met Hamam for the first time. Hehehe, perhaps in a year ahead, he will call me grandma :)
