One Day Trip with Your Family near Barcelona

If you are taking a travel in Barcelona, then there is little chance that you will want to leave, but there are some places near your apartment in Barcelona where you can take one day trips and enjoy some of these local attractions.  You can find things to do for all types of people, whether you are on a romantic holiday, or on a fun family break near Barcelona so if you do find that you have a day free and want to visit something a little different then have a look at some of these great attractions on offer.

If theme parks are more your thing, then there is a great theme park just a little south from Barcelona.  It is called Salou and it has many different themes and attractions all rolled into one.  This would make a great day out for the whole family to enjoy. To be amongst nature, taking part in outdoor activities, then 40 km from Barcelona lays the Montseny National Park, where you can take one of the many hiking routes.  There are restaurants in the national park where you can enjoy refreshments in the beautiful and unspoiled scenery of this park.

If you enjoy sampling fine wines, then you could take a day trip to the beautiful nearby town of Alt Penedes.  Here, the vineyards are well known and you can take tours of the vineyards and sample the many wines produced by the vineyards of the town.  The town itself has a great cultural feel and you can see the traditional Spain locked in this characteristic and interesting little town.

Of course one great activity for anyone near Barcelona is to visit one of the nearby coastal towns.  Spain is known for its beaches, and you can take a one day trip to the beautiful sandy beaches to spend a day relaxing, or enjoying one of the many games and sports that you can participate in.  From swimming in the sea to taking boat rides, and from making sandcastles to playing volleyball, there is more to do on the beaches than just sunbathe!

A Rhinocheros Beetle

I saw this one at our porch a few days ago. My husband took some pictures for me. I’ve just known later that the beetle is harmless.
