I’ve got Hordeolum (a kind of ulcer) on my left upper eyelid for almost three weeks already. It doesn’t endanger my general health but quite annoying. The first eye ointment didn’t work so I bought a different kind. The second one seemed more effective though the healing progress is very slowly. Never mind, I can wait longer until it totally disappears.

This morning I cooked petals of honje flower. You may recognize this flower as Torch Lily or Ginger flower. It’s my first time to make a dish using this ingredient. In fact, honje flower is already common to use in preparing some Indonesia traditional dishes but it’s not easy to find nowadays, especially here, in my place. So, when I saw them at a vegetable vendor’s cart, I straightly bought it.

 I combined honje flower with papaya leaves and dried shrimps; the taste of the finished dish was not bad at all. Good smell of the petals enriched the flavor and aroma!
