When we crossed the Cangkuang Lake (Garut, West Java, Indonesia) with a bamboo raft, I saw this man standing on a long but narrow bamboo raft. I wasn’t sure what he’s doing around the lake, but he seemed checking the fish net that he located on a spot of the lake.

The Last Week in 2011

Happy new year to all! After a few days, I’m much better today. We didn’t go out in new year’s eve; but on Sunday, we had lunch at a special restaurant, an old colonial house.

Last week, we spent two nights in Garut (West Java, Indonesia) and visited Cangkuang Lake. We rented a bamboo raft to cross the lake; the price was Rp 60.000,- (about $ 6-7). Reaching the island, we took a short walk around. There’s also an ancient Cangkuang Temple in this island, but I just saw the temple from a distance as I couldn’t take my father to climb the high stairs. Though it’s just a short trip and we didn’t visit another place, we enjoyed it.

When we went fishing last week, I saw some rabbits at cages. I’ve shared an angora rabbit last week and now I share another rabbit here. The rabbit looks cute, clean, and healthy. But the cages are very dirty and smelly. I feel sad for these rabbits that have to live inside it.
