Spending Weekend at a Hospital

>> Mar 24, 2014

I’m fine here; my sister in-law is the one who’s being hospitalized since last Thursday. On Thursday night, we rushed to the emergency unit as she felt heart burn, chest pain and hard to breath. My brother was out of town at that time, so it’s just both of us. She’s afraid of getting heart attack. Fortunately, the EKG report showed good result. There’s nothing wrong with her heart. But since she still felt the pain, the doctor in the emergency unit suggested her to be straigthly hospitalized.

It turns out that she’s affected by GERD (Gastroesophaegal reflux disease), a chronic digestive disease that occurs when stomatch acid flows back or refluxes into food pipe (esophagus). It may injure the lining of one’s esophagus and causes GERD signs and annoying symptoms such as acid reflux and heartburn (data source:mayoclinic.org).

GERD isn’t a kind of disease that can be cured totally. Medications offer only short-term relief. My SIL has to change her life style especially her eating habit. She has a long list of forbidden spices, food and beverages. To avoid coming GERD, she should strict to the list. Do you have any relative or friend who also suffers GERD? We're open for advices here.
I took two shots while my SIL was in the bathroom. She brought along her blue mug.
The hospital room has blue ceiling. It looks nice but nothing compares your own home bedroom.

How to Tidy Your Attic

>> Mar 21, 2014

How to Tidy Your Attic -There are many reasons you might want to tidy up your attic. Perhaps you want to expand your living space, if the rest of your house is getting a tad cramped. Perhaps you still want to use your attic for storage purposes, and would prefer it if it was a clean and easy to navigate, rather than dark, messy and cluttered.

We’ve decided to give those seeking to revitalise and revivify their attic space a helping hand with a handy guide to best practices for tidying up your attic – and while attics can differ massively from house to house, there are some basic underpinning tips which everyone should consider when refurbishing this area of their home.

If you’re considering tidying up your attic for any purpose, this guide should help you expertly get things in neat and orderly fashion. If you’re not considering tidying up your attic...then why aren’t you?

  • By way of preface, we urge you not to be reluctant to enlist professional help at any stage. There are many professional services which can aid you in tidying your attic. For starters, there are companies which offer dedicated attic cleaning services. However, if you still want to do the bulk of the work yourself, this obviously isn’t the option for you – but there are still occasions and processes for which you will need professional help, so don’t go scurrying off and DIYing it just yet!

  • For instance, Wimbledon man and van services can be very useful in cleaning an attic. If you’re emptying your attic of excess items, lots of items will have to go to make room. Some you will want to throw away, or transport to a charity shop or friend’s house or even the dump. A strapping young lad armed with a removal vehicle is naturally helpful in this situation – they can help you organise and pack the items you intend to rid yourself of.
  • Best of all, man with van services can be very reasonably priced indeed, charging you for time, rather than miles travelled or the size of your cargo. You may, on the other hand, want to keep many of the things you move out of your attic. In this instance, you should consider renting space in a storage facility. This makes sense for lots of reasons.
  • Primarily, it’s a wise option because hiring storage space means you can keep items safe and in optimal condition for extended periods. The better storage rental centres are flexible, meaning you can store things for whatever length of time you like, and visit your store to deposit more items or remove things whenever you like. The best storage for hire businesses in your area will also have advanced security techniques and offer insurance, meaning your possessions are safely protected 24/7 and you are covered in the event of theft or damage!

  • A man and a van can help you get your items to and from your rented storage facility too!
  • If you are unswervingly dedicated to DIY sensibilities, you may still need outside help to complete your  attic. For instance, you may want to rent a removal van to conduct any transportation portions of your move. Van rental is a great solution for all your moving needs, and if you look hard enough, you can find companies offering vans for hire at extremely competitive rates.
We recommend you research high and low on the internet, and find the services that work specifically for you. There is no one size fits all solution for everyone! Good luck!

Use Innovative Ways to Kick the Butt

Smoking is not just a bad habit that annoys others around you due to all the smoke and bad smell, but it is actually a habit that can cause you to slowly painfully die if not terminated as soon as possible. Cancer that can be produced by smoking is very bad and at time incurable, and this is all not just to the smoker itself but also to the people around them who can get the effect of second hand smoke. So now with all this that you know why would you want to keep on smoking? Now maybe you want to quit, so here are some ways you actually can quit.

Hypnosis
Lots and lot of ex-smokers have taken help from people and professionals who can hypnotise them to make them quit smoking. This is a great way for those who are not very strong willed and easily break on pressure or even just by seeing others smoke they are able to give up on quitting and pick up smoking again. Hypnosis helps them in various ways to stay strong even when others blowing smoke rings on their face and it also helps them to stay focussed to the idea that they want to quit and feel proud of the fact that they decided on quitting and not smoking ever again.

E-cigarettes
Many people are not able to give up on their dosage of nicotine that easily and they need that dosage to feel alive and to stay energized and focus at their work. But what they really miss is the action of using a cylindrical object on which they can inhale upon and then blow smoke out. For people like these there is an option called the electronic cigarettes. These are nothing but a simulator with a nicotine cartridge in it which turns nicotine liquid into vapour when inhaled which one can blow out of their mouth as smoke. There is even an LED light at the tip which emits orange light like a natural cigarette would emit from the burning of the tip. green smoke reviews has been very beneficial as well.

Patches and gums

Some people just smoke for the sake of the nicotine dose and that’s it. Nicotine is the addictive ingredient in smoking and more and more people do get addicted to cigarettes because of it. Hence when people do want to give up on smoking they are not able to due to their dependency on nicotine. For such people there are various nicotine patches, nicotine gums and even nicotine lozenges that can be bought from any normal medical stores these days. They are able to provide the user with their dose of nicotine without any harmful carcinogens which are found in the cigarette. But one should be able to understand that how many patches or gums or lozenges one should take in a day since too much nicotine can also have some side effects on the body, so do have a chat with your family doctor before buying anything yourself.

How to Safely Clean Your Baby’s Toys

>> Mar 20, 2014

How to Safely Clean Your Baby’s Toys -It’s important that you take the time to properly and safely clean your baby’s toys. Not doing so can cause health problems for your little ones, and you can even end up spreading bacteria around your home, and you definitely don’t want that! Here are some of the best and most efficient ways that you can clean your baby’s toys without using potentially harmful chemical products!

1)   Fill a bucket, large bowl or even your bath with warm water. Add washing up liquid and any plastic toys that you might want to clean. Make sure the toys are soaked thoroughly and then use a sponge or cloth to scrub and wipe away any dirt or grime. Rinse each toy thoroughly with clean water and leave to air-dry. Your child’s plastic toys will now be clean and sanitised ready for your children to play with!
2)   Did you know that you can wash some plastic toys in your dishwasher? Make sure they have no mechanical components or batteries and simply pop them in with your next wash load! The hot water and cleaning agents will make quick work of your child’s dirty toys and will leave them looking as good as new!
3) Soft toys can usually be washed in your washing machine. Use a light detergent, preferably one that’s suitable for sensitive skin and just wash the toys as you would your clothes. Make sure you check any labels before doing so so that you aren’t going to be destroying any beloved toys!

4)   You can also hand wash any soft toys if you aren’t sure about using your washing machine. Fill a bowl or your sink with warm water and a little bit of detergent and wash as you would your clothes for a thorough and safe clean.
5)   Some plastic toys can be large and with lots of little places where germs and bacteria can hide. For bigger toys take a sponge, a clean toothbrush and mix together washing up liquid and warm water. Start by wiping down as much as you can with the sponge and cleaner. You can use the toothbrush to scrub away at those hard-to-reach areas. Make sure to rinse away any suds and leave to air-dry.
6)   Sometimes you might want to clean your baby’s toys more thoroughly. After your child has been ill, or perhaps when toys are especially dirty, you might want to consider using an antibacterial spray. This is completely safe to do as long as you make sure that the toy is thoroughly rinsed through afterwards. Use either an antibacterial wipe to sanitise toys, or soak a clean cloth or sponge in an antibacterial agent. Clean the toy thoroughly and rinse to ensure there’s no product left behind. To be as thorough as possible, leave the toy to soak in clean water after using the antibacterial product, before removing and leaving it to air dry.
7)   Try to get into the habit of regularly cleaning your children’s toys. This doesn’t need to be done on a weekly basis, as it can be good for your child to experience some bacteria. Instead, think about Paddington deep cleaning of toys every month, or whenever you choose to thoroughly cleanse your home. Over-cleaning your child’s toys can cause them to deteriorate faster and no little one wants that, so be careful and aware of how often you’re cleaning them.
