Garden Railings: Which Material to Choose and Why You Need Them

>> Jan 10, 2019

Anyone who is a garden enthusiast knows how relaxing and invigorating it can be to walk around and appreciate lush vegetation in different seasons of the year. Maintaining a home garden is an excellent hobby because it can beautify your property and help you relieve the stresses of everyday life. Apart from the plants and flowers that adorn a garden, other things can lend a unique appeal to its appearance. For example, if you want to create sections or install a pathway, garden railings can create that illusion. Railings are also especially useful if your property has cascading garden steps.

Why do you need garden railings?

Depending on the season, garden paths and steps can be particularly slippery. If you have stone paths in your garden, you need to take extra care so that walking around your garden remains safe for everyone. Here are other reasons why you need garden railings:

        Compliance with building codes. This will depend on the area where you live. Some building codes require that if garden paths consist of four or more rising steps, you need to install railings on the side.
        Safety measures. Building codes are enacted mainly to ensure safety. It is wise to add garden railings along a path to prevent slips and falls due to a slippery surface or because the trail is covered with rotting leaves and other vegetation.
        Aesthetic appeal. If you have a formal garden, or one consisting of several sections, railings add to the beauty of the area. Different styles are available to choose from such as classic wrought iron and steel. Iron garden railings often look quite sophisticated and complement flower gardens well.

Because garden railings are versatile, installing them is an excellent idea regardless of the size of your garden or whether or not you have rising garden paths and steps.

Choosing a suitable material

In selecting a material for garden rails, you need to consider weather-resistance. Since rails will be installed in open areas, these will be exposed to the elements and prone to the effects of wear and tear. You may also want to consider the ease of maintenance and how well the material withstands the added issue of plants and vines climbing over it. There are two popular choices for building garden railings:

1.   Wood. Wood is perfect when the weather condition is dry. One advantage of wood is that it is easy to assemble and install. However, eventually, wood will rot when exposed to high amounts of moisture. Apart from this, you need to work more on maintaining wood railings to make them last longer.
2.   Iron or steel. Steel is suitable for any weather condition, especially if it rains a lot where you live. Manufacturers of steel garden railings add a protective coating to prevent them from rusting. Steel railings also look quite beautiful and lend an old-world charm to any garden. Steel is strong, durable, and won’t easily break or bend.

Choosing one over the other is a matter of preference. It also depends on the look or aesthetic you wish to achieve, as well as your budget.

What useful products contain phosphorus?

The mental and physical performance, the strength of teeth and bones, even sexual health depend on a trace element, such as phosphorus. The mineral substance enters the body with food.

The daily requirement in phosphorus for infants is 120-540 mg, for children under three years - 800 mg. A child at school age should receive at least 1.4 grams of mineral a day. Norm for adults - 1-2 g. For pregnant and lactating women, the need for a microelement is 2-3 times higher.

So, what foods contain phosphorus and how does it affect the body?

The value of an element for a person

700-800 g of phosphorus is present in our body. More than 80% of the substance is concentrated in the bones and teeth. The rest is in muscle tissues, organs, blood, lymph, tissue and cerebrospinal fluid. A craze for canned food and lemonade, the abuse of protein foods can lead to an excess of phosphorus.

The mineral deficiency in the body lowers the level of manganese, hampers the formation of calcitriol and the absorption of calcium from the intestine. Decalcification of bones occurs and, therefore, osteoporosis develops. Calcium, excreted from bone and muscle tissue, accumulates in the blood vessels and kidneys. Thus, an excess of phosphorus leads to kidney stones, anemia, leukopenia, a tendency to bleeding. Destructive processes affect the nervous system. Shock doses of the mineral can lead to the development of atherosclerosis and cause paralysis.

At the same time, phosphorus is an indispensable and valuable element for the body:
  • it is a battery of energy and a participant in metabolic processes;
  • is necessary for muscle contractions;
  • ensures the normal course of biochemical processes in the brain;
  • maintains the acid-base balance;
  • promotes growth and maintains the integrity of bones and teeth;
  • participates in the formation and decomposition of polysaccharides - glycogen, starch;
  • promotes the formation of active forms of vitamins.
An unbalanced diet often leads to the lack of phosphorus: a poor diet for proteins, an excess of calcium-containing foods. Deficiency of the mineral can be observed in people living in a zone of low insolation.

This is due to the fact that ultraviolet rays contribute to the synthesis of cholecalciferol (vitamin D3). And the latter in turn ensures the absorption of phosphorus in the intestine.

Hypophosphatemia can be a consequence of prolonged intake of diuretics, alcohol intoxication.Often it develops against the background of pulmonary insufficiency, endocrine diseases, problems with bile-excreting pathways and liver. Absorption of phosphorus in the body is difficult for people with metabolic disorders, excess aluminum, calcium or magnesium. Deficiency of the microelement occurs in pregnant and lactating women. You can recognize it by apathy, loss of appetite, weakness, reduced efficiency as experts reported.
Top-10 vegetable phosphorus-containing products

The easiest way to eliminate the mineral deficiency is to include foods rich in phosphorus in the diet. These include cereals, legumes, nuts and seeds. A lot of phosphorus is found in dried herbs: dill, coriander, parsley, tarragon, marjoram. The trace element is found in large quantities in the seeds of cumin, celery and fennel. Vegetables and fruits contain little phosphorus. Leaders in the content of the mineral among them are sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, pitted raisins, dried currants.

What foods are particularly rich in phosphorus? Top-10 looks like this:
·         rice, wheat, oat bran;
·         raw and fried pumpkin seeds;
·         sunflower seeds;
·         poppy seeds;
·         soy products;
·         ground mustard seeds;
·         sesame with and without skin;
·         Brazilian nut;
·         flax seeds;
·         cashew nuts.

With hypophosphatemia, such foods and phosphorus-containing meals can be included in the main diet. For example, many people like to make a useful salad of soy. It should be soaked and cooked in advance. For 4 servings you will need 250 g. Boiled soy should be rinsed with cold water. Add mushrooms fried in oil, sliced green pepper and radish. Take 100 g of each ingredient. Salt the salad, season with lemon juice and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
Dish of green lentils will help increase the proportion of phosphorus in the body. A glass of seeds must be sorted, washed, cooked. Throw ready lentils in a colander and cool. Add chopped carrots and onions, fried champignons with soy sauce, chopped greens. If you want, put in the salad sesame or pumpkin seeds, walnuts. All these ingredients contain phosphorus and calcium, are sources of vegetable protein. Legumes combine well with whole grain bread.

Products with phosphorus are suitable for the preparation of vegan sweets from dried fruits, seeds and nuts. Ground in a blender a glass of dates without pits and 50 grams of cashew. Combine the resulting mass with the grated coconut pulp (a quarter of a nut). You can also add mashed potatoes from 3-4 fingered bananas, maple syrup (30 ml), ground cocoa beans (3 tablespoons), poppy seeds (2 tablespoons) and a pinch of cinnamon. Mix everything. Mold the balls from the mass and roll them in sesame seeds (4 tablespoons). Before you eat, put candies in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.

Table of products, which contain phosphorus and in what quantities (per 100 g of product)
How to increase the digestibility of the element?

It should be noted that the phosphorus in food is not fully absorbed. Absorption of microelements and plant foods is difficult due to a lack of digestive enzymes in the intestine. On average, the body absorbs about two-thirds of the phosphorus. This means that the indicators that are included in the table must be multiplied by 0.7 (study says).

Another important nuance - products and phosphorus-containing dishes partially lose their mineral value in the process of cooking and other strong heat treatment. Losses are from 25 to 60%.Thus, the best way to get the necessary trace element is to eat raw foods or with minimal heat treatment.

Calcium contributes to absorption of phosphorus, and the optimal ratio of minerals is 1:2.

The correct balance and high content of both elements is typical for Brazil nuts, almonds, sesame seeds and poppy seeds, whole wheat flour, soy products. Another compound necessary for better absorption of phosphorus is vitamin D. In small amounts, it is present in mushrooms: grifola frondosa, champignons, chanterelles, morels. However, you can get the necessary amount of vitamin D in another way - by regularly taking 20-minute sunbaths.

Ideal foods for people with hypophosphatemia are wheat bran, dried fruit, buckwheat and oatmeal, beans, lentils, peas. The high content of phosphorus in products is not their only advantage. Dried fruits, grains and legumes contain a lot of potassium and magnesium – minerals that contribute to better absorption of the element.

Are anabolic steroids good or bad at helping to get mass fast?

Anabolic steroids are the complex substances that are one of the most widely used in bodybuilding. Steroids are being produced by fermenting the protein and is a product that is digested for a long time. In a person's stomach, anabolics collapse into a clot and is digested for a long time, which can provide the body with protein longer than any other type of protein.

This article will explain why buying steroids is not so great idea and that regular protein works more stable and safe.

Use only legal steroids that are approved by FDA!

Steroids have not only the worst qualities of assimilation and lower biological value. It is able to slow down the absorption of other types of protein with which it enters the digestive system, thereby having a less pronounced anabolic effect.

Roids (another word for “anabolic steroids”) can get into our body in the form of dairy products (cottage cheese) or in the form of powder produced in a factory. Both products produce the same effect on the athlete’s body. However, another product has recently appeared - injectable steroids, which has the best absorption, solubility and taste, but is more expensive than usual.

Role in training

For any type of training and nutritional regime, the goal that are important for anabolic is  to provide the athlete's body with amino acids for a long time. However, there are some nuances.

The use of steroids in gaining muscle mass has its own characteristics. It should not be taken throughout the day due to slow absorption. Anabolics are best suited for use before bedtime, because for 6-8 hours the body will be unable to obtain nutrients. By taking a portion of steroids like
Dianabol DS, you will be able to slow down catabolism and keep your muscles from the negative effects of cortisol. Given that the activity of the digestive system in sleep slows down, increasing the portion by a third, it will be possible to provide the body with amino acids throughout the duration of sleep.

Being "on the ground", steroids can be taken during the day, in cases where it is not possible to eat or drink whey protein in time. Having increased a portion by a third or even twice, you will provide your body with nutrients for 5-6 hours, supporting recovery and muscle growth.

The use of steroids on cutting is also recommended mainly at night. Since under conditions of a low-calorie diet, muscles are highly susceptible to destruction, the use of this type of protein in the course for is not justified. If your goal is to satisfy your hunger, consume steroids in combination with other more rapidly absorbed types of protein.

In the cycle for cutting, and on the mass, legal anabolic steroids are best to take. However, in many athletes the bodies do not perceive the lactose contained in it. In this case, legal steroids can be a good substitute. You can also combine the reception of legal roids with egg or soy protein.

Physiological effect

Scientific studies show that steroids are absorbed by the body much faster. The level of concentration of amino acids in the blood reaches a peak after an hour and a half after taking this sports supplement. At the same time, even 5 hours after taking steroids, the level of amino acids is at about the same level. This suggests that
Anavar pills by Dragon Pharma are absorbed by the body slowly and evenly.

Most studies have shown that whey protein has the better anabolic effect. However, casein performs those functions that are beyond the power of whey protein. One cannot do without it if it is necessary to provide the body with amino acids for a long time - during sleep or in other situations. Although casein does not provide a strong anabolic effect, it will stop catabolic processes, which is equally important in bodybuilding.
