Things Married Men Don't Want to Hear

>> Sep 4, 2013

One of the greatest things about being married is that you don't have to be worried about what, when and where you're saying something. But if you don't watch you mouth, it is very likely that you fail into a really unpleasant situation, which he later will remind you over, and over, and over again.. Sometimes the ugly truth comes out in a hurtful ways, rather than helpful ones. Here are some advices that may help in such situations.

'Ugh, we are having dinner with him again?!'
Well, of course you don't like this smelly, rude and vulgar friend of his. We would be more concerned if you did. And no one says spouses are required to adore each other’s friends. The problem is that you're insulting the man's choice of friends. If he insists on going out with someone, well... he probably enjoys his company.  You can always suggest that he and his pal spent a nice guy's night. In that way you will give him freedom to spend some time with his friends and give him a reason to show his appreciation later.

'He called and wants to see me? What's wrong with that?'

Your ex is back in town and invites you on a lunch. Of course, he does not intent to do something inappropriate. And he knows that you're happily married.  But your partner will probably not accept it so good. So in this case, may be the best solution is to keep this to yourself. We know your partner is not interested in details about your ex, so the less you talk about him, the more secure your husband will feel.

'You bought me that?'
It is a well-known fact that men are not keen on shopping. And there are only  a few times when they decide to actually buy something for their wives. And in most of the cases these are some occasions. So they remember quite well these little gifts and the fact that you cannot even remember the little things he tried so hard to choose for you is pretty insulting.

‘Fine':
This simple word can totally enrage your spouse. The meaning behind it is that you are absolutely NOT interested in what he's talking about or (and perhaps the worst situation) it indicates that you're boiling with anger and don't want to share it with him. So, try to avoid using it. Sometimes it just comes out of your moth and there is nothing you can do. But what is important is that if you don't agree with your partner or have something, which you want to discuss with him – share it. It will be much better than simply keeping all your worries for yourself.

'You never...' or 'You always...'
Think about it! Neither of these is actually true. Starting a sentence like that will make your spouse start a fight straightaway. If you want to say that he rarely think of washing the dishes or often thinks he's right about something, just try not to exaggerate and clearly claim what you mean. That way it is much more likely that he will listen instead of  starting another fight and proving you that you're wrong.

Understanding Your Childcare Options When Returning to Work

>> Sep 3, 2013

Returning to work following maternity or paternity leave can be a scary time for new parents and many are still unaware of what childcare options are available for them to lead a balanced and happy family life for years to come. We’re here to help you make sense of it all and whilst childcare is certainly not cheap, we can assist you in getting the very best care for your little one and your budget.

There are a number of different types of childcare all of which cater to different age groups and price brackets. Check out the following options currently available for new parents looking to return to work with complete peace of mind.

What Term Time Options are Available?
Day nurseries offer an affordable option for new parents; both care and education are offered by many registered day nurseries from the age of 6 weeks to 5 years. Day nurseries are generally open in term time and the school holidays, with opening hours covering normal office working hours. Depending on your location, you may be entitled to a certain amount of free care, which is calculated on an hours per week basis for children aged 3 and over. Nursery schools are another useful term time option, perfect if you have older children in primary or pre-school. Nursery schools also offer care and education to children aged 3 to 5 years, however, their opening timesare restricted to normal school hours, which may cause problems for some parents working the regular 9 ‘til 5.

Playgroups are also an option especially if you are looking to ease yourself back into work on a part-time basis. Playgroups, or pre-schools as they are sometimes referred to, are either voluntary or community run and price per afternoon or morning session, rather than per week. Again your child may be eligible for free care depending on age and location.

Care in the Home
There are also various options available for childcare to be delivered in your very own home, which is often a comfort to new parents as well as the child. Hiring a professional through an au pair agency can be an excellent option for parents looking for a flexible, affordable and high quality arrangement that fits around work and play.  Nannies also provide a quality option for new parents looking for a long-term childcare solution. Nannies offer daily support for both part-time and full-time working parents and provide their services to cater to yours and your child’s needs. Some nannies can be hired on a live-in basis for a regular arrangement that offers stability for the whole family.

What is the Difference Between a Nanny and an Au Pair?
Whilst au pairs offer a less expensive role in childcare than a nanny, they are predominantly live-in, meaning it is the responsibility of the parent to act as an employer and provide food and lodgings. As mentioned nannies can also be recruited to live in the family home for round the clock assistance. The relationship between child and nanny and child and au pair also differs, whilst nannies are regarded as specialists in childcare with various professional experience, qualifications and training, au pairs take on a more ‘big sister or brother’ role within the family home.

Whether you are looking for a long-term full time arrangement or just a helping hand to get you through the early years of your child’s life with confidence there are a number of childcare options available to suit you, your child and your budget.

County Nannies Recruitment has helped a number of families find the best type of childcarer for them to provide a very different and extra special level of care for children of all ages.

Today is my fourth day at home again.  I’m recovering but I’ve got cough that gives me pain and sleeping problem.  Sorry, I have no intention to nag here. Hope I’ll get better soon.
For Camera Critters, I share a sweet female cat that I saw when I was sitting on a hospital’s bench, waiting for my husband who’s registering for a doctor’s visit that morning.

How to Get a Flat Tummy in a Week

>> Aug 29, 2013

Have you ever despaired on not being able to fit into your favorite dress or pair of jeans because of the excess fat on your tummy? If yes, do not despair as you are not alone. There are a lot of people who have been battling the bulge around their belly for long. While belly fat is really common, the good news is that you can lose it. However, in order to lose it, you must understand that it requires a complete change in your lifestyle, eating habits as well as other changes, which in turn will ensure that you never have fat around the tummy. Here are some simple tips to help you lose that excess weight and get a flat tummy within a week.

  • Dietary changes: One of the main reasons for putting on excessive body fat, especially around the tummy region, is the food we eat. Given our high powered lifestyles, we often tend to eat out as well as at odd times, all of which are detrimental to our health whilst also being responsible for that bulge around the tummy. Most of us tend to gorge on fast foods or processed foods, which are mainly responsible for this problem. The trick is to eat natural foods, including vegetables, fruits, whole grains, chicken, lean meat, fish, whole grain pastas, whole grain bread, fish, nuts and other low fat foods. Apart from this, you can include dietary supplements containing key elements like raspberry ketone, green coffee bean, Garcinia Cambogia extract etc, to enhance the metabolism and reduce belly fat.
  • Drink plenty of liquids: Water is extremely important for those who want a flat tummy. Most of us unfortunately drink only sodas and other aerated drinks along with lots of alcohol, all of which act as the chief cause of belly bulge. Reducing these drinks while increasing the intake of water, nearly 8 large glasses a day, will definitely keep you hydrated while also ensuring that there is no fat around the belly. Another very good drink that you must include while trying to get a flat tummy is green tea. Green tea has many miraculous powers, which causes the metabolism to increase and the body to lose fat while also improving your overall health and fitness. If you are not really keen on drinking green tea, you could always opt for supplements that have green Tea EGCG as a key element.
  • Reduce intake of sodium: Salt is another important factor that causes the belly bulge. If you truly want to reduce that belly fat, it is important to cut down on your salt intake. Adding herbs and other spices to your food is a better way to make it more palatable rather than adding salt, which is detrimental to your health, and especially to your tummy.
  • De-stress yourself: Stress is extremely detrimental to the overall health of an individual. Apart from making you unhealthy, stress also leads to excessive weight gain or fat gain, especially around the belly region. This is because stress causes the release of a hormone called cortisol, which is the main cause for fat gain in the belly region. Breathing exercises are excellent ways to de-stress while also working totally on the belly fat. Dancing, music and any other hobby will also help you to keep stress at bay. Planning your time efficiently to ensure that you are never late or over worked will also help in reducing stress effectively.
  • Exercise regularly but moderately: Finally, there is no weight loss or fat loss without exercise. This is the most important part of ensuring that you lose weight within a week. There are several regimes that one can follow while exercising to reduce belly fat but all should be done only after getting proper advice from the doctor and ensuring that it is safe to do so. Here are some exercises that you should consider while trying to get a flat tummy within a week:
    • Circuit training is extremely essential for losing overall weight. This kind of training not only helps in building muscles but also burns fat, which causes weight loss and ultimately leads to a flat tummy.
    • During your workout regimen, make sure that you work out your entire body. Do plenty of lunges, squats, push-ups etc. Do multiple sets of each exercise and make sure that each set has 15 reps. It’s important to rotate the exercises regularly and not work on the same muscle or body part continuously for two days in a row. This will help tone the muscles while also enabling the faster burning of fat. Skipping or any kind of Cardio activity is important and should be combined with these exercises.
    • Alternate between the upper body and lower body to get better results. Make sure that you work each body part for the correct number of reps as advised by your trainer as it will help meet your needs faster.
While all these tips will definitely help in ensuring that you have a flat tummy within a week, it is equally important to maintain a good posture to ensure that you retain one. Always pull your tummy in and walk straight as this will go a long way in ensuring that you lose more weight around your tummy.
