>> Nov 23, 2016

The partner visa exists so that Australian nationals and permanent residents can bring their partners into Australia and start a new life together. The Australian would sponsor their partner, with the eventual aim of obtaining permanent residency. It is possible apply for the partner visa online, but before doing that, here are some important points to bear in mind.

Marriage
Although being married does demonstrate a level of commitment in the relationship, it is not a mandatory requirement. If you have been living together as de factos (this phrase literally means “in fact”) for at least twelve months, and have supporting evidence of this, you can apply for a partner visa.

Planning to Marry
If you and your partner are planning to marry within the next 12 months, you can apply for a prospective spouse visa (subclass 300). You must have already registered the up and coming marriage, and if you are successful, your partner will receive a 9 month visa with travel and work rights, on the condition that you marry and apply for the partner visa within that period. If you and your foreign partner are planning to start a new life in Australia, and are looking for a migration agent in Sydney, there are established companies that can oversee your application.

Proof of a Relationship
If you and your partner are not married, but are living in de facto, you will have to furnish the authorities with certain evidence to support this. The evidence might take the form of:

  • Utility bills with both your names included
  • Evidence of joint property purchase or rental
  • Evidence of joint bank accounts, insurance policies, or superannuation funds
  • Evidence to support the length of time you have known each other, which could be Facebook postings, emails, or even statements from friends.

Waiting Period
Typically, if you apply for a partner visa, you will be given a two year temporary partner visa, and after the two tears have elapsed, you will have to prove that you are still in a relationship. There are some exclusions to this, namely, if you and your partner have been in a relationship for more than 3 years, or at least 2 years and you have a child from the relationship. If either of these requirements are met, you can receive the partner visa without having to wait the two years.

Professional Help
This is an important step for anyone to take, and to be sure of success, it is a good idea to use the services of a professional company to help with the visa application. A registered company would have a range of tailored packages designed for specific types of visas, and their expertise would ensure that your application was successful. There are online companies that can perform an eligibility assessment to see if your partner qualifies for the visa, and make sure the company is registered with the Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA) and that they have adequate experience.

Many Australians meet their partner in a foreign country and wish for them to come and live in Australia, and with the right professional help, the partner visa can be obtained.

Controlling Pests that Pester your Family

Pests such as mosquitoes, rodents, cockroaches and such are more than just annoyances, they are a real danger to you and your family’s health. Some call the need for pest control to solve their pest problems but there are other ways aside from hiring professionals. There are certain things you can do in our own home to keep the pests away and keep your family from harm. These are just a few of the common pests that you may encounter in your house or around the area and few ways to deal with them.
Mosquitoes

Mosquitoes is a pest you surely encounter daily in a humid and moist country such as the Philippines. The problem with mosquitoes is not just that they bite or that they never seem to run out. The problem with mosquitoes is they are a known carrier of diseases such as malaria, dengue, yellow fever and many more. These pests thrive in this humid moist weather so you should be weary of your environment.

Be sure to remove all forms of still water around your home because this is the perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes. Also, visit your local pharmacy or supermarket and buy insect repellant for your skin. Keep these mosquitoes out of the house by installing screen doors and windows.
Cockroaches

These pests are also known to spread diseases and bacteria through touch. These are commonly seen in homes or outdoors. The Philippines has a species called the Asian cockroach which is known for its ability to fly. This is how it finds its way in houses and buildings. This is also the reason it is very hard to control and strikes fear to many individuals.

Like other roaches there is a way to control these pests, and it comes through basic sanitation. Roaches thrive in the trash and garbage so making sure there are no pileups like this will help with your pest problem. Having a clean environment will also help traps and baits work more effectively. Insecticides and sprays are highly effective and will kill on contact so make sure you don’t have trashy hiding places for the roaches to hide in.
Mice

Mice may seem cute and nice but they too are pests that is a health hazard to your family. They are known to spread diseases through contact or its waste droppings. They are small and flexible so they can fit in nooks and crannies. They also gnaw and chew through dry walls and damage your property. Mice are nocturnal so it is very hard to spot them in your home so you should keep an eye out for proof that mice were there. Look for holes in your walls, droppings and even listen to their footsteps through the walls or ceiling.

Focus on keeping food neat, tidy and sealed so that mice aren’t attracted to it. Check for openings outside your home and make sure they are sealed. Make sure all your garbage is bagged up neatly and thrown properly because mice will eat about anything whether they’re spoiled or not. Trap is a last resort if you already have a mice problem, rodenticides proved to be effective as well especially for a nest of mice.

It shows that proper housekeeping can go a long way in keeping away unwanted guests from the house. If you can keep your home clean and free from wastes, there will be nothing to attract pests such as these to your home. If they do enter your home, there is a wide variety of products readily available for such an occasion.

3 Great SEO techniques Your Consultant Must Use

When it comes to online marketing, the place of search engine optimization (SEO) cannot be overemphasized. SEO is the holy grail of internet marketing success and it is an ongoing project. Most website owners assume to their own detriment that Google will somehow find them and this never happens.

While there are millions of websites out there, research shows only 52% are leveraging the vast potential available. If your website is struggling, you need to hire an experienced SEO expert as you concentrate on the core business.  These experts have the experience and insight to revolutionize your website and improve sales conversion. The idea in SEO is to provide a great user experience and to stay ahead of Google’s algorithms.

Here are some of the advanced techniques your SEO consultant should explore:

1.   Website Audit
This is one of the most obvious yet overlooked SEO strategies. You can only improve your site’s ranking by identifying what is working and what is not. Auditing the site’s framework is done over a period and there are tools which you can deploy in evaluation of your site. Look at the speed score, SEO score, warnings and general user experience. Tweaks to the system will improve user experience leading to more click and eventually better conversion.

2.   Leverage Target Audience Data
You need to understand what your target audience wants and if you don’t have enough traffic currently, you can’t find this. Luckily, you have many other competing websites and you can get ideas from conversations with their customers.  Data research helps you to understand what the end user really wants and you can then optimize your pages around these ideas.

3.   Optimize Your Landing Pages
Marketing Sherpa says that 44% of clicks for B2B companies take users to a homepage. This highlights the value these companies have put on their homepage. However, this also denies them a chance to increase conversion.  You must create as many standalone landing pages as possible. These pages will provide a better user experience compared to the ordinary homepage. Dell is a good example of websites taking advantage of landing pages with over 100 of them. The company witnessed a 300% increase in conversion after testing the multiple landing pages.

Every website is unique and your SEO consultant needs to evaluate where the problem lies before building an SEO strategy.
