Employment Visa

Working in the Gulf is, undoubtedly much different from America, Canada, and European countries.  Once you get a right job proposal to work in Oman, the next step is to understand employment regulations for getting the employment visa. This visa is granted only at the request of your employer or the local sponsor who takes your responsibility of getting employed in Oman. In fact, the application form is typed, signed and approved by the sponsor. The visa should be used within 6 months from the date of issuance. With a valid visa, the employee can stay in this Arab state for a maximum duration of two years from the date of visa issuance. However, it can be renewed, if required.  

The other requirements for applying for the Visa include:

•  The person seeking an employment visa should not be less than 21 years of age.

• The person sponsoring the candidate applying for visa must be a local one and held responsible for all the details mentioned in the application form.
• The employment details and sex of the candidate applying for visa should match with that mentioned in the labor permit.
