A Leafy Insect
>> May 4, 2014
Happy
weekend to all. I’m still in a best friend’s house now; today is my third day
here. I have no chance write more words, so it’s just another short post :)
Insect in
the family Tettigoniidae are generally called katydids or bush crickets. Many
tettigoniids show mimicry and camouflage, usually with shapes and colors
similar to leaves (source:wikipedia). This one was captured on our home’s fence. I saw it
accidentally. I had no time to make excellent shots as I was in a hurry to
reach a place at that time.

Wow! I thought that was a leaf when I first saw it.
Awesome! If you look quickly you just see a leaf. That's a great disguise.
