The Missing Cat Has Been Found

>> Jul 26, 2014

I’ve ever made a post linked to Camera Critters  and Saturday's Critters  about our missing she-cat named Lily. At that time, she just arrived from other town and we didn’t see her again in the next day. Believe it or not, after about five months missing (Peb to July), Lily was found at a spot that far enough from our home.
Before missing in Peb, 2014
Last week, in one night, my brother and nephew was going out by car. My nephew saw Lili in the front of a store. He told my brother to stop the car and hurriedly came nearing Lili. Fortunately, the cat reconignized my nephew. He called the cat and Lily ‘miauw’ him back. When my nephew picking her up and getting her into the car, Lili showed no refusal.  Arrived at home again, she ate well.

I’m curious to know what happened to her in the last five months. Though she founded on the side of the street, she looked clean, perhaps there’s someone who fed her regularly. The spot where my nephew saw Lili is about 2 km from our home.

Captured yesterday.
Lili is healthy. But after her last adventure, she never comes out of my brother’s bedroom. She’s on the bed most of the days. Is it strange or normal?  She's pregnant, so it's her second pregnancy. Poor Lili, what happened to her first babies?

I'm glad she's back and that she's healthy. Maybe she's just tired after her adventures.

I'm glad to hear she's home again! My cat used to sneak out, too. (I was always aware of all her hiding spots inside the house to bolt outdoors when she thought I wasn't looking, but everyone else... they were never on their guard and so she got out a few times). Cats can be adventurer's for sure!

And this is kind of related: When my dad was little he and his family moved from McKinney to Houston. They left their dog with their grandparents, but the dog ran away. One day the dog showed up at their new house! (That's 280 miles, including traversing through busy Dallas. How on earth did that dog even know where to go?)

Again, I'm glad kitty is back home. I remember one time after my cat was home again. When I found her, the people told me she'd been stuck up in their tree for days and been shocked by their electric fence because she was trying to get away from their big dogs. After that, she was quite jumpy whenever she heard loud noises. It took a while for her to settle back in to home life again, so give it some time.

Animals do bounce back quickly, and while cats are adventurers I think they enjoy being spoiled by their humans even more. ;o)

Sorry for rambling...

I once had a cat reappear like that after being gone for several months. Glad you happened to find her! Don't be surprised if she roams again
