>> Jul 14, 2015

So, you would like to throw an unforgettable birthday party for your son? What you should always keep in mind is that it might be much trickier than you think right now for it requires investing countless hours in choosing the perfect decorations, food and costumes. However, once the entire preparation is over, such flawless party will be worth spending both your time and money for you will have an opportunity to witness one the happiest days in your kid’s life. Here are some basic things you should always keep in mind. Check them out!
When to throw the party?

Once you decide to throw a party for your kid, you need to be sure that all the kids can make it. Therefore, it is always highly recommended that you contact the kids’ parents before setting the date just to make sure whether they will be able to appear. It is always good for you to be flexible about the date so that you can easily reschedule it if something goes wrong. What you should always keep in mind is that most birthday parties are thrown at the weekend, when all children are available.

Choose the party theme

Although it is not absolutely necessary, organizing a themed kid’s birthday party has always been the most interesting idea. Not only that the kids will be amused, but it will also be much easier for you to choose the decorations, food and games. You could pick either a character party, such as Sponge Bob or Scooby-Doo or a regular, themed party, such as a cowboy or a pirate party.

What makes all modern kids’ parties so amazing is the wide range of different choices to make. For example, you could always go for one of the popular boys’ party themes, such as Despicable Me, Frozen Olaf, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Avengers, Batman or Star Wars party and, most importantly, you will be able to find various theme-related party supplies.

How to choose invitations?

No matter how young your son is, you should never discard his opinion. After all, it’s his party. Once you’ve chosen the adequate theme, you should ask your kid who he would like to invite and what theme-related invitations he likes the most. It would be also great if you invited the parents to come, additional help and supervision is always a good thing!

How to plan a well-structured and fun boys’ party?

When planning a boys’ birthday party, you need to keep in mind that boys constantly jump from one activity to another. In order to make your kid’s party well-organized, maybe you should consult and hire an entertainer, who can be dressed as one of your kid’s favorite superheroes or cartoon characters. The entertainer will adapt the entire program of the party to the theme you’ve chosen and make sure that all kids are having fun.
Another thing you should also consider is the time. Since kids, especially boys, get bored in an instant, the party shouldn’t last long. Believe us, two or three hours are more than enough for kids to play, hang out and enjoy.

What food to choose?

When it comes to the choice of perfect food, you don’t have to rack your brains a lot. What you should always keep in mind is that kids love tasty and simple food, such as pizza or sandwiches. Another great idea for you is to adapt food and drinks to the party theme. For instance, if you’re throwing superhero party, you could fill comic book page cones with some cold snacks, make amazing “kryptonite” candies, share healthy veggies and fruits with signs like “I give you strength” or serve dozens of colorful cupcakes with your kid’s favorite superhero sign. All kids will L-O-V-E it!

All in all, planning boys’birthday party has always been a complex, but awesome venture. Whenever you get stressed out about planning such a party, you just need to remember that, once it’s over, you will be super-proud of your organizational skills! So, find the theme your boy loves the most and get started!
