5 Family Friendly Mocktails You Can Make at Home
>> Jun 25, 2016
Let’s say you and your significant don’t want to
leave your residential condominium in
Makati, but you want to have fun. A couple of glasses of
martinis or glasses of wine would be fun, however, that would
mean leaving the kids out of whatever you have planned. There’s an answer to
that, don’t you worry! Mocktails are great for everybody because they don’t
have any alcohol.
Here are a few ideas to get you started on mixing
your own.
1.
Shirley Temple (1 Serving)

Kids are going to love the presentation of the
Shirley Temple. The gradient colors are definitely going to catch their eye,
and it’s simple to make. In a tall or large glass, add a quarter cup orange
juice to three quarters cup of 7-Up or Sprite. Add two tablespoons of grenadine
syrup and let it sink down to the bottom of the glass, then garnish it with
some cherry.
2.
Chocolate Mock-Tini(1 Serving)

What kid doesn’t love chocolate? First, coat the
inside of the glass you’re going to use with some chocolate. Blend together
half a cup of chocolate milk, one cup of mint-chocolate chip ice cream, and
about four ice cubes. Pour it into your chocolate coated glass, and garnish
with a candy cane.
3.
Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade (1 Serving)

Nobody can resist strawberry lemonade. But what
about sparkling strawberry lemonade?
For this, you’re going to have to finely chop two to three strawberries. In a
glass, combine half cup of lemonade and half cup ginger ale. Put in some ice
and sprinkle the strawberries to garnish. If you want, you can slice some lemon
circles or wedges and put them on the mouth of the glass as pictured above.
4.
Sparkling Sangria

Sangria normally is red wine with chopped fruits,
honey, and a tiny bit of brandy, but kids aren’t allowed that, are they? For
the kid version of sangria, you’re going to need several chopped fruit. They
can be apples, oranges, lemons, limes, any kind of berries, apples, depends on
you. Add all of these (or your choices of fruits) to a glass of sparkling grape
juice, then add some frozen grapes in there to keep the beverage cool without
watering it down. If you want to prettify the glass, garnish it with a candy
fruit gel.
5. Dandy
Cranberry

Cranberries are good for you, which is why this
next drink has cranberries. In a punch bowl, combine a cup of cranberry juice, a
cup of orange juice, and a cup of pineapple juice. To that, add about four
ounces of cherries, some orange slices, and two tablespoons of lemon juice. While
you stir, add a cup and a half of chilled ginger ale. Serve with ice and
garnish with more cherries and orange slices.
You can even serve these at parties! They’re
friendly to kids and to expectant mothers, or just for the people who don’t
like alcohol. These non-alcoholic drinks are tasty and easy to prepare, and
will be enjoyed by everyone!

Well I think I'll just sit back and watch the glass without touching or even drinking it as it's prepared so beautiful and determined :)
