>> Dec 14, 2018

Learn Skills

A great way to grow your resume is to learn a variety of skills to a reasonable extent. All kinds of classes and tutorials can be found through the internet. Even if you don't have an official degree or certificate pertaining to a specific skill, having a skill is very impressive. Just make sure that you are good enough at the skill before you put it onto your resume. Also, if you claim to have a skill that you have learned but don't have credentials on paper for, make sure to have some sort of portfolio of work that you have created so that you can show people that you are not lying. If you list that you are a self-taught artist who is skilled, you better be able to submit a portfolio of your work. The same goes for other types of skills.

You can get many different types of certificates online, including a business analytics certificate online. There are colleges that offer two-year and four-year degree programs entirely online. All it takes is a bit of research and you can find yourself with a qualified certification, Associates or maybe a Bachelor’s degree.

You can start a business from home. Home businesses can be put on a resume. If you legitimately did work and generated income from hoome, you really should be able to put it one a resume. The type of business to start is really up to you. There are all kinds of businesses to start, and starting a business takes a lot of thought about what might work.

Freelance and Work From Home

There are plenty of freelance and work-from-home opportunities that you can be a part of from home. There are many different types of freelance and work-at-home types of jobs. These job titles include tutors, ghostwriters, over-the-phone customer service representatives, entertainers, stores, web designers, computer programmers and a variety of other things. There are some people who turn their homes into brick-and-mortar operations for things such as hairdressing, notary work, law work, medical services and babysitting.

Think About The Nature Of Your Work

Before you build up your resume from home, think about the types of things that you are doing, how relevant they are to other things and what kinds of reputations they have. For example, if you plan on working as an adult entertainer from home, something like that might not look good on a resume in the eyes of some employers. It might not be something that you want to be out about for reasons having to do with safety and keeping your identity secret.

Even if what you are doing is vanilla, you should think about how relevant it would be in relation to what kinds of jobs you want to apply for and what you want to do in your life. You may want to think about what types of arguments you could give for why something relates to something else.
