When the Electricity Goes Out

The electric power can go out for various
reasons. When the lights suddenly go out -you realize how much you depend on
electricity. Last week, the electricity was off for about six hours and I was
alone at home.
When the sun’s still shining
outside, I still have many options to do. I can read, write and do several home
cleaning chores. After darkness came, I lit
some candles and one emergency lamp in my bedroom.
Being alone at home when the lights were
off at night wasn’t nice at all. I stayed in my bedroom and listened to the
radio of my mobile phone. Fortunately my net book has good battery, though there’s
no internet connection, I was able to do things like digging my photo archive
and reading saved documents that I haven’t yet read before. If my husband were
at home that night, it would be a nice time to enjoy hot drinks and have a warm
chat for a long time. What do you do when your electric power goes out?
